Carmine & Arthur - Company Information and Our History

Carmine & Arthur’s was established in 1982 by Carmine Fabrizio, a clothing veteran of Brooks Brothers and
Paul Stuart. His store Carmel Apparel was located at 100 Gold St, and later 1 NY Plaza. On February 1, 2005 Carmel moved to its present location at 175 Water St., and was renamed Carmine & Arthur Clothiers to celebrate the merge with Twickenham Custom Clothiers of Greenwich, CT, which was owned by Arthur Reis.

Carmine and Arthur Clothiers is currently run by
Mr. Reis, who has been in the custom clothing
business for over thirty years, and knows that
exceptional tailoring is imperative when investing
in quality menswear. Mr. Reis personally selects
all fabrics as well as coordinates lines of accessories
(ties, cuff links, belts, etc.) to complement his suitings
and shirts. All fittings are done by Mr. Reis or a
personally trained assistant. Carmine and Arthur’s
tailors all have a minimum of 20+ years experience,
and have worked at the finest men’s stores in New York
City. With thousands of distinct fabrics to choose from,
all of our custom suits are made in America
(suits, shirts and ties).
